Lynn Dykeman started working as a social worker in 1984 and has worked in child welfare, adolescent homeless youth, vocational rehabilitation for people with disabilities, substance abuse, sexual abuse treatment, managed a woman’s shelter, and has worked at Stonechurch Family Health Centre for 15 years. She has tutored in the MHBS program for 14 years and cocordinated that program. Dykeman runs treatment groups for adolescents with anxiety issues, anxiety treatment groups and groups for people who need ongoing support to help them resolve their mental health challenges. She works as a mediator with families trying to provide optimal care to elderly family members. She recently completed training in mindfulness stress reduction and dialectical behaviour therapy. Dykeman was part of the team that won a bright lights award at AFHTO for Stonechurch’s teen group and part of the team that won the SAGE award for Sronechurch’s work with seniors.
