Myles Sergeant Peng, MD, FCFP

Assistant Clinical Professor


Dr. Myles Sergeant is an assistant clinical professor at McMaster University and the founding medical director of the Shelter Health Network of Hamilton. He has worked with inner city populations for the past 20 years. Currently, he is the attending physician at Wayside House Inpatient Addiction Program.
Dr. Sergeant also works with geriatric populations and joined St Peter's Hospital in 2003 as medical co-director of the Medically Complex Program. He is a member of the McMaster Care of the Elderly group, which focuses on delivering best practices to geriatric clinical settings.
Dr. Sergeant received his MD from McMaster University and did his family medicine residency at Queen's University.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sergeant is the president of Trees for Hamilton (treesforhamilton.ca), a local charity which plants trees to improve the environment and human health.
