Enhanced Skills Program - PGY3
The Department of Family Medicine PGY3 Enhanced Skills Program at McMaster University offers a wide range of options for residents interested in pursuing additional training after their core two year Family Medicine Program.
Programs are offered in Emergency Medicine, Care of the Elderly, Anesthesia, Sports Medicine, Palliative Care, Women’s Health, and H.I.V. The opportunity also exists for residents to design a program on an individual basis (Self-Designed). We also offer an Academic Fellowship focused on family medicine education research and the development of teaching skills.
If you have rural practice intentions and are applying to the highly competitive programs in Emergency Medicine and/or Family Practice Anesthesia please consider also applying for a self-designed Rural Medicine program as an alternative.
