Medical Education Research Group

A regular Department of Family Medicine Research Group meets once monthly to discuss questions and methods surrounding medical education research. This group provides an opportunity for DFM Faculty to bring forward new problems, discuss research experiences, share relevant literatures, network, collaborate, practice presentations, and initiate new projects. The group is designed to encourage research productivity and is now pursuing a number of new projects spanning a wide variety of topics including: predictors of resident success; the circumvention of test-related anxiety; clerkship perceptions of empowerment; the appraisal of residents' intentions to practice comprehensive care; and the validation of resident performance assessments; among others.
