Brampton

Residents matched to the Brampton based Family Medicine Program have a unique opportunity to benefit from the cutting-edge McMaster program in a multicultural setting with a robust community- based clinical experience and great teaching in a geographic setting at the doorstep of the world class city of Toronto.

Core rotations are based out of the William Osler Health System with hospital sites in the communities of Brampton and Etobicoke.  The state of the art William Osler Health System is among the busiest sites for Obstetrics, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Geriatrics and all the disciplines of medicines.  Core PGY1 and PGY2 programs are based out of William Osler Health System, while the PGY2 year affords the flexibility to choose rural experiences, electives and selective rotations outside of our core community.

Residents will complete Family Medicine rotations in community-based practices with physicians practising comprehensive Family Medicine in Brampton, Georgetown, Woodbridge and Rexdale. Learners come together for various academic sessions based in Brampton that focus on the College of Family Physicians priority topics.
